Katrin Zernial

Katrin Zernial è fisioterapista diplomata in Germania nel 1997.

Si è formata con un corso triennale in Terapia Manuale –Concetto Maitland– in Svizzera e si è specializzata in Germania in vari campi come la Terapia Cranio – Sacrale, Fascial balancing, Applied Kinesiology, Terapia dei meridiani ( Agopuntomassagio secondo Penzel) e Terapia di dolore e disfunzione mio- fasciale ( Triggerpoint). Da 2012 si sta formando in Osteopathia funzionale a Berlino, studio di cui ha concluso la parte dell’Osteopathia viscerale.

In Germania ha lavorato per due anni in uno studio specializzato in Osteopathia Cranio – Sacrale incrociando le proprie esperienze con ortodontisti e dentisti nella cura di disfunzioni cranio – mandibolari.

Si è trasferita nel 2001 a Roma iniziando la collaborazione con uno studio di Chirurgia ed Ortopedia, dove si è impegnata nella riabilitazione post-operatoria e nel  trattamento del dolore cronico, e successivamente con uno studio di Fisioterapia e Shiatsu.

Madre di 2 figli, fondatrice dell'Associazione Culturale 'Viva' -di cui è responsabile nella sezione infanzia-,  dal 2007 vive ad Orvieto dove coltiva la sua passione per l'Italia e continua la sua ricerca professionale, sempre attenta al rigore medico ed aperta all'incontro con le metodologie più innovative.

KATRIN ZERNIAL

After gaining her Diploma in Physiotherapy in Germany (1997), Katrin continued her studies, undertaking a three-year course of Manual Therapy (the Maitland Concept) in Switzerland. While in Germany she specialized in various fields including Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Fascial Balancing, Applied Kinesiology, Meridian Therapy: a non-invasive treatment of the acupuncture meridians or energy lines (the Penzel method) and treatment of pain and mio-fascial disfunction using Triggerpoint therapy. Since 2012 she has been studying Functional Osteopathy in Berlin, and has already finished the Visceral Osteopathy section of the course.

In Germany she worked for two years in a clinic which specialized in Cranio-sacral  Osteopathy, working with orthodontists and dentists in the treatment of craniomandibular disfunction.

When she moved to Rome in 2001 she began working in an Orthopedic and Surgical Clinic, specializing in post-operative rehabilitation and the treatment of chronic pain. She also works in a Physiotherapy and Shiatsu Studio in Orvieto.

The mother of two young children, and founder of the VIVA Cultural Association - where she is in charge of children's activities - Katrin has lived in Orvieto since 2007. Here she cultivates her love of Italy and keeps up her professional research, combining medical rigour with an open attitude to innovative new methods in her field.
